The 3D model
I added the tray with the fishes to the base model to make the 3D model.
I had no idea that make some fish was so difficult. Not only it have to have a fish-like aspect, but the 3D model had to be flat.
It took me several attempts, and in the end I made it: I traced a random image of a fish with a cube, beveled a bit the edges and then added a sphere as a eye.
I plated the fish on the tray trying to leave less empty spaces as possible, to avoid problems while 3D printing it.
3D print and painting
Even though the wide use of the supports, the 3D print reproduced very well the miniature, with all the details. Here the 3D print settings.
To paint the miniature of the fishmonger crab I used, in addition to the paint for the crab, the bronze paint for the tray. I https://www.fede3dworkshop.com/en/sundray-crab-introduction/painted the fish with a mixture of blue and a small amount of runefang steel, to give it a metallic color.
