How I made the 3D model of the space marine
To make this miniature I just posed the base 3D model of the space marine (here the link), without adding more equipment.
I chose a simple and common pose, easy to find big amount of references.
While posing it, I tried to make it compact as possible, with less possible holes, hard do clear from the supports and hard to paint.
In the article of how I made the 3D model you can see I divided the miniature in multiple pieces. This helped me a lot, and speed up the work.
Here the 3D model of the space marine finished:
This miniature, after being 3D printed will be glued to a 25mm base, so it’s important that the feet are aligned.
My suggestion is to start from the bottom. When the feet are aligned, it’s easy to pose the rest of the body.
Until today I always made in this way, and never had problems with shaking miniature that can’t stand up.
